Inner West
SEO for Small & Medium-Sized Businesses in Pinetown & Westville with replies within 24 hours
From the office parks of Westville to the factories and shops of Pinetown, the Inner West is one of Durban’s most important business areas. I help small and medium-sized businesses here show up when customers and other businesses search for them.

Introduction
A quick hello from me
You’ll deal with me directly, so here’s a short video to say hello and show you the easiest ways to get in touch.
The area
Doing business in the Inner West
The Inner West has deep roots. German settlers arrived in 1848 and founded New Germany and Westville, and Pinetown grew up around a wayside hotel in 1850. Today the area sits around the meeting point of the N2 and N3, which makes it one of the best-connected parts of the city.
It’s a serious commercial centre. Pinetown is a major industrial hub with company head offices and distribution centres, Westville has office parks and The Pavilion, one of the largest malls in Greater Durban, and New Germany’s industrial zone is full of manufacturers and suppliers.
A lot of the businesses here sell to other businesses, and that changes how SEO works. Buyers search for specific products, services and suppliers, and they compare options carefully. Clear, detailed pages tend to win more work than flashy ones.
Suburbs I cover in the Inner West
Every suburb has its own mix of businesses and competition. Choose yours to see how local SEO works there.
Westville
A leafy suburb with busy office parks, The Pavilion and UKZN’s Westville campus. Professional services, healthcare and corporate suppliers do well here.
Pinetown
One of Durban’s main industrial and commercial centres, with factories, distribution centres, Pine Crest Centre and a busy town centre full of local shops and services.
New Germany
Founded by German settlers in 1848 and now home to a large industrial zone alongside a quiet residential area. A natural base for manufacturers, engineering firms and suppliers.
My approach
How I’d approach SEO in the Inner West
The basics don’t change from suburb to suburb, but the amount of work it takes does.
- Write for business buyers. If you sell to other businesses, your pages need to answer the questions buyers ask: what you make or do, who you work with and how to get a quote.
- Give every service its own page. One general page rarely ranks for everything you offer. Separate pages for your main products or services give Google more to work with.
- Get the local basics right. Even industrial businesses get found on Google Maps. An accurate profile with the right categories and opening hours makes a real difference.
- Build trust with proof. Case studies, certifications and client names matter a lot in business-to-business work, and they help with search too.

Recent results
SEO results from a Durban client
Results depend on your business and your competition, so I won’t promise rankings. Here’s what one local client has seen so far.
Duguza Pest Control is a family-run Durban business. Within about eleven weeks of their new website going live, it was ranking for 29 search terms on Google and being quoted in Google’s AI Overviews.
Which parts of the Inner West do you cover?
Westville, Pinetown and New Germany, along with the surrounding areas. If you’re nearby and not sure whether I cover you, ask.
Does SEO work for manufacturers and suppliers?
Yes. Buyers often search online for suppliers and service providers before they pick up the phone. The searches are smaller in number but usually worth more, so being visible for the right ones can pay off well.
My business is in an industrial area. Does Google Maps still matter?
It does. People use Maps to check your address, opening hours and reviews before they visit or send a driver. An incomplete profile can cost you business you never hear about.
Can we meet in person?
Yes. I’m happy to come to you anywhere in the Inner West, or we can talk on a video call or over the phone.
How long will it take to see results?
It depends on your industry and your starting point. Some fixes show results within weeks, but building visibility for competitive services usually takes a few months.
Other areas I cover
I work with businesses right across Durban and its surrounds.
